Control towers and translucent accordion walkways …
Looking back at Folkestone
Searching for something altogether different I came across these old photographs I took at Folkestone Harbour in 2014.

This is the control tower at the harbour, which I've just discovered was properly named the Trinity House Pilot Station. Designed by the Architect John Hill with Structural Engineers Andrews, Kent & Stone. Opened in 1971, demolished in 2014.

The striking, squeezebox like footbridge over the platforms at the disused Folkestone Harbour Station in 2014. Demolished since. Apparently added in the 1980s. I can't find out anything about who designed it, but presumably penned by someone in the BR Civil Engineer's / Architect's Department.
