RELIGION AND PLACE

This project was built on English Heritage research into all the religious buildings in the London Borough of Tower Hamlets.

Several artists worked with groups of secondary school children to explore the history of these buildings and their communities and to challenge their understanding of the various faiths. Jon was commissioned to produce elevation photographs of the majority of the 167 religious buildings to be found.

The Building Exploratory has continued it's work around this subject and asked Jon to produce photographs for their Hackney based project - Places of Worship.
