    Jon's Bandstand pieces have been selected by guest critic and New York gallery owner, Debra Klomp Ching, as this months Critic's Choice on the Troika Editions website.

    "Jon Spencer has created photographs that are ethereal, at once very specific and yet so universal that the connection with the viewer is multifarious. The bandstands are indeed "silent sentinels", but they also call out ever so majestically"

  • Westminster parks website launched

    A new website, showcasing and celebrating the wide range of parks and open spaces in the City of Westminster has been launched. The site was designed by Jon with development by Airlock. Jon was also commissioned to take much of the photography used in the site. See details of the project here.

  • The Layered City - Exhibition now open

    The Layered City features work from the new Poliptych vs Capriccio series, as well as the award winning Bandstand Series. The exhibition is being shown at Bloomsbury Design from 26th July to the end of September 2010.

  • The Floor to Ceiling Show

    Some of Jon's Bandstand Series prints will be part of the inaugrual show at The Front Room in Clerkenwell. Presented by Troika Editions, this saloon style show will offer visitors the chance to choose from a very wide range of contemporary photographs from £25 a piece.

    The show runs from 11th August - 19th September 2010. Full details here.

  • London Festival of Architecture

    Transparency and the City: Public Spaces or Forgotten Places? is a group show taking place as part of the London Festival of Architecture. Jon will be showing pieces from the new series Poliptych vs Capriccio as well as pieces from the Bandstand series.

  • Athenauem Commission - update

    I've just heard back from the art consultants, Degree Art, and the Interior Designers, Fox Linton, who were responsible for organising this commission - apparently the final piece 'exceeded the client's expectations'.  That was good to hear !
